Hampton Court Palace

This visit is arranged in conjunction with the Arts Societies CANTAB and South Cambs. The lead society is Granta.

The tour is organised by City and Village Tours

Hampton Court Palace is one of the largest and best-known palaces in the UK. Building started in 1515 for Cardinal Wolsey, who soon gave it to Henry the VIII in an attempt to restore his good standing with the King. Over the next 200 years the Palace was expanded and altered, passing from the Tudors to the Stuarts and eventually to George II, who was the last King to live there.


07.45 Coach (Young’s)  will depart from Trumpington Park and Ride

10.15 Coach arrives Hampton Court Palace, followed by coffee and refreshments. Individuals choose and pay on the day

10.30 Visit to the Palace, then

Lunch at the Hampton Court Palace, café and restaurant, individuals choose and pay

After lunch the tour resumes.

16.45 the tour finishes.

17.00 Coach departs, arriving at Trumpington P&R at 19.30

Cost   £ 45.00pp. Refunds cannot be made after a place is booked and paid for, but members who cannot come are welcome to provide a substitute.
